World Malaria Day

The Mortara Center for International Studies, and the Center for Infectious Disease, Georgetown University invite you to a one-day symposium to coincide with the first World Malaria Day, April 25. The conference is to be held at Gaston Hall, starting at 9am. Panels to discuss 'The Burden of Malaria', featuring Admiral Timothy Ziemer (President's Malaria Initiative Coordinator) and Dr. Joel Breman (Fogarty International Center of US National Institutes of Health) 'Prevention and Cure of Malaria' featuring Dr. Steve Hoffman (CEO, Sanaria, Inc. and Dr. Jonnathan Vennerstrom (University of Nebraska) 'Policy Challenges and Action' featuring Nell Temple Brown (World Health Organization) The symposium will continue in the afternoon at the New Research Building.
